FAQ
Got Questions?
While we’re more than happy to hear from you directly, here are some answers to the commonly asked questions in the meantime…
NESIA is an incredible Bein Hazmanim traveling experience or Yeshiva Bochurim to uplift, inspire, and recharge for the new zman.
We have multiple different options and routes each summer catering to different crowds and ages. While our “Make Your Own” option is open to any grade, we have regularly scheduled programs for Bochurim between 13-20.
No, each group has their own route, staff, and itinerary that’s specifically built around the chevra coming that year.
Is “Pretty much all of them” a good enough answer?
Most of the options are second half from right after Tisha B’av until right before Rosh Chodesh Elul. For the younger grades there is a first half option also.
Unfortunately, you’ve located your antitheses. There are no 11 AM Shachris days, no “do-nothing” beach days, and no free-for-all options. So while you won’t fit in with our program, just reach out and we’ll be happy to direct you to more suitable options that we know of.
Was that a serious question? There most certainly is!
Yup. Shabbos is included in EVERY.SINGLE.DAY 😊
That depends on which option you choose. Some have a few hours every few days, and some cover 4000 miles!
Clean, safe, roomy…were you expecting another answer? We aim for the nicest options that best serve our needs. There are no seedy, rundown Motel 6 vibes on our itineraries.
That depends on the option you choose. (And yes, we 1000% recommend a camping experience with NESIA) Although for the nights that we do camp, its always within the beautiful confines of a National Park and generally includes showers, running water, laundry…you can call it camping, glamping, or what it actually is – pure and joyful tranquility out in nature.
Let’s just say it won’t disappoint. We know that while the path to a Yeshiva Bochurs happiness has many routes, food is the secret shortcut. Top Kashrus & top quality. And yes, we’ll have all the snacks you can eat when the late night or long drive munchies come around.
Proper. Done right. A highlight. Memorable…..feel free to add your own positive synonyms.
Make an exception and fit everything into a single suitcase. If you can’t imagine one measly suitcase being enough room, there’s a good chance we probably are the wrong type of summer camp experience for you.
Also nope
Still nope. Notice a theme yet?
We’ll find it a slightly strange, but sure
Generally, yes. Reach out for specific details
Ever looked into a potential shidduch? About the same long.
AMAZING PEOPLE! The staff are a crucial ingredient in the success and happiness of everyone in camp. As such notable priority is placed on who we bring along. They are all talented, relatable, responsible, and dedicated Bnei Torah, with middos worthy of a role model. Most of our staff are married and individuals who have been with us for multiple years.
Our staff generally come back year after year and are individuals that we knew personally, so there aren’t many new opportunities that open, but you never know. You’re welcome to reach out directly and ask. Take note that regardless of what age program you’re interested in being staff for, there are never staff positions open for anyone under 21.
You’ll be spending the summer with like-minded Bnei Aliya that are all there for the exact same purpose, to recharge for the new Zman with an incredible summer that you’ll never forget in a healthy and kosher atmosphere. As such, its remarkably easy to make new life-long friends and to quickly bond with the Chevra even if you don’t know anyone in advance.
While we daven that it’s never needed, we have relationships with the local urgent care facilities if something needs outside attention that can’t be dealt with by someone trained on our staff. The health and safety of everyone is our foremost priority. We do whatever we can (given the structure of a travel camp) to accommodate any specific medical needs. Reach out to us regarding specific circumstances you may have, and we’ll be happy to advise on its plausibility.
Yup, it’s actually a pretty popular option, and for good reason
